We want this site, and the way we communicate with homeowners, to work for people using assistive technology, keyboards only, or magnified displays.
How this site is built
- Semantic headings and landmarks, with a skip link to the main content.
- Every interactive element reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Touch and click targets at least 44 pixels tall.
- Text and interface colours checked for contrast against their backgrounds.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields with real labels, described errors, and status messages announced politely.
- Motion kept minimal, and reduced further when your device requests reduced motion.
Standard we work toward
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. Accessibility work is ongoing rather than finished, and we treat reported barriers as defects.
